About Us

Fresh produce in America travels an average of 1,500 miles to reach your plate. Along the way it's cut, packed in plastic clamshells and shrink wrap, refrigerated, loaded onto trucks, unloaded at distribution centers, and shipped again to stores and restaurants. At every step, quality drops — flavor fades, nutrients degrade, and shelf life shrinks. By the time it arrives, it's already days past harvest and heading toward the trash. And all that single-use plastic packaging it came in? Most of it heads to the landfill too.

There's a better way.

Metro Mountain Greens grows microgreens hydroponically in Denver using a custom-built automated system — LED lighting, climate control, and precision engineering designed from scratch. No soil. No pesticides. No insecticides. No shipping across state lines. No plastic packaging. Just clean, hydroponic growing on compostable jute mats, delivered alive within miles of where they were grown.

Because our greens are still growing when they reach you, they stay fresh for 5 to 7 days after delivery. You cut what you need, when you need it. There's no supply chain degrading your food before you even open the package — and no plastic to throw away when you're done.

We grow multiple microgreens — all hydroponically, all locally. What leaves our grow room is alive, and what reaches your hands is as fresh as food can possibly be.
